While Doom was away, Sliver at first curled up on the leather armchair, humming lowly as if to soothe himself. It was boring without the vampire around - but well, on the other hand, he could be sure now the vampire wasn't trying to break him completely yet. For this, as it seemed, he still would have to wait a while.

Lifting his feet in the air, Sliver took a long look at the leather covering his skin from abve the knees down to the ankles. Doom surely had some strange kinks, as he couldn't quite explain how this matched with the leather straps buckled around his upper arm and his thigh. Maybe it had a meaning not yet to be understood?

Even though it wasn't at least as entertaining as to explore the mansion, Sliver began to think about his outfit. The leather straps... What was special about them? The ones on his thigh trapped his muscles a little, but those around his right upper arm didn't affect him really. And the collar seemed to be mere jewelry, as it never had fulfilled it's purpose up to now.

Biting on his left index finger, Sliver tilted his head to one side, letting his thoughts wander further. Maybe it remembered Doom of something? No, he couldn't quite believe the vampire would be like that. More likely associating it with something entirely new, which only made it more interesting.

Sighing to himself, Sliver leaned back a little more, until he was lying rather strangely on the leather armchair. His upper body was almost upside-down, his head only inches above the ground, while his legs were stretched up in the air, slightly bent to keep the leather from slipping down and make his appearance a little messy. In fact, it now looked like the law of gravity wasn't fully working on Sliver.

Smirking wickedly, he began trailing his hands along his body. If Doom wasn't here at this moment, how should the vampire keep him from doing whatever he wanted? Then again, it wasn't really tempting. If he had been in his room, the door only almost closed and Doom somewhere in the mansion, it would have been a little thrill. But like this, it more likely remembered of an unbearable need.

He wasn't like that, and for this, Sliver stopped before he could begin really. Maybe a little later, when Doom had returned and would do something while he was supposed to be sleeping. Which remembered him... He was having troubles to really sleep lately. Not that he felt tired, it was more like his body needed much less sleep. A rather weird developement, considering the fact he was more exhausted and in need of a good day's sleep than before.

Sliver sighed again, this time at the thought he was developing a rather strong aversion towards the daytime and light in general. As if he was gradually transforming into a vampire. It was possible, though, as Doom bit him now and then. He didn't know anything about the transformation into one of those leeches, so it could have been his body was changing at this very moment.

Well, something definitely was changing, he just couldn't name it really. If he now developed a crave for blood, however, wasn't too sure. After all, the vampire's venom didn't seem to be as strong as the venom of a pureblooded leech. Sliver chuckled at that. Doom seemed to think he hadn't found out that much... what an idiot this halfbreed was.

At that thought, he suddenly paused. Had that been his own mind? No, it had felt like someone, or rather something else had thought in his place. A shudder went down Sliver's spine, and it certainly was of the pleasuring sort. His body seemed to prepare for a threat - even if there wasn't anything close.

After several more minutes of complete silence, he gradually relaxed again, but stayed a little alert. There never had been anything comparable before, and it frightened Sliver. Maybe he was losing his mind? Wouldn't have been too much of a surprise, as he was living at a crazy halfbreed's place.

A slight chill went across his skin, making goosebumps appear on his upper arms. He felt unusually hot inside, while his skin was claiming it was too cold on the outside. What the Hell was happening to him? Maybe this was Doom's doing? No, he couldn't imagine so either. The half-vampire hadn't got any magic skill.

Then again, what did he know about Doom? Not too much, and that bothered him. After all, it always was an advantage to know the enemy, for maximum results when defeating and finally smashing him. The vampire's may claimed they were children of the night, but he, he was something much more powerful...

Now, Sliver was convinced he was about to go insane. Where did those strange, hostile thoughts come from? He straightened up, taking a cautious look around. He felt like being stalked and watched, and that freaked him out, hurrying to get up, Sliver stumbled and nearly fell. Just out of this room... and forget about the thoughts having invaded his mind.
